Now LG has a robot vacuum cleaner

lg_roboking.JPG

One day soon we’ll tell you everything you need to know about the robot vacuum cleaner market. Until then here’s the latest entrant, the LG Roboking. Apparently the cleaner uses a similar kind of 'cruise missile mapping technology', as used by rival model the Samsung Crubo (see here for more). This enables it to draw a 3-D map of the environment to identify its relative location, enabling faster and more efficient cleaning of a defined area.

Just like the Crubo it can also be controlled via the Internet and no it won’t climb stairs either.

It is Korea-only at the moment, but LG doesn't rule out a UK launch for 2004.
