Four megapixels for less than £100
While the price of ice cream is going up and up (£1.20 for a Solero! What’s the world coming to?), megapixel digital cameras just keep on getting cheaper. Argos is selling this 4.1-megapixel Polaroid PDC 4055 for just £99, which is just outrageously cheap.
The camera has a 4x digital zoom and a 1.5-inch colour LCD screen. 16MB of internal memory, plus a Secure Digital expansion slot provides the memory space. The camera has movie capture and sound recording capabilities, but it uses the older, slower USB 1.1 connection.
It’s not going to win any prizes for looks or features but, at this price, we’re not complaining.
