jvc_mpxp731 Want to surf and slurp, but don't want to have to lug a hefty laptop around? JVC has announced a new ultra-portable PC that looks like it's ideal for checking your e-mail/surfing the net while enjoying an espresso at the wi-fi cafe.

Dubbed the the Mini Note MP-XP731, the new model features Intel CentrinoT mobile technology and an ultra low voltage 1GHz Intel Pentium M Processor. With a screen of 8.9 inches, the MP-XP731 weighs less than 905g and is less than 30mm thick. JVC claims continuous battery operation of up to 9.5 hours.

The JVC model comes pre-installed with Microsoft Windows XP Professional, offers 256MB onboard memory and a 40GB hard disk. It also features i.LINK and USB2.0 for those using digital cameras/camcorders.
