Designer wi-fi lamp

violet_lampExpress your or your partner's mood with this new wi-fi enabled lamp named Dal. Designed by French company Violet, it changes colour depending on messages it receives via e-mail or the phone.

For example, Dal can change colours according to online information about the weather or stock market. Or you could just use it as a subtle way of communicating with your boyfriend/girlfriend while entertaining some very boring friends.

The lamp can also personalised in order to react to noise in the room or simply to show ambient animations created by digital artists. Priced at 850 Euros, it can be bought from www.violet.net. Alternatively you can get it from Galeries Lafayette or the Meuble et Fonction design store.
