Kenwood CD Players from Japan

kenwoodNice as these look, unfortunately they're nothing to get excited about. They're actually just basic portable CD players from Kenwood, just released in Japan. Apparently the most remarkable thing about them is their price, which, at around £50, is pretty... err... remarkable. The 131 x 132 x 23.4mm, 168g DPC players don't play MP3s or WMA, but they are at least CD-RWs.

While they may be nothing to get excited about (not least because they're only available in Japan at the moment) we were marginally interested by the fact that we don't have a "portable CD player" category, which probably speaks volumes about the future of these devices. Either that or we just forgot to add the category.
